Reblogged from considering the lilies:
After a fortune-telling machine grants his wish, 13 year-old Josh Baskin begins an adventure in the world of work and romance and in the adult body of Tom Hanks. We don't need to watch the movie Big to predict the ending of the timeless tale behind it. We know that the boy who falls in love with the woman will eventually be pulled back to his thirteen year-old life, so we aren't surprised by her response to his suggestion that she go back with him.

I’m glad you reposted this as a reminder of how important books and reading are to our well-being. Each of my sons is a reader, to varying degrees. One prefers audiobooks to the kind we traditionally hold and feast our eyes upon, but at least he is reading. I’ll have to watch the movie “Big” again. I haven’t seen it in ages. xox
jan, can you believe I still haven’t listened to an audiobook? I must get out of my comfort zone one of these days!! So nice to see you commenting and “out and about” Jan.
